Setting up your Blue Valley email in Microsoft
Outlook:
- Open Outlook
- Click Tools.
- Click Accounts
- Click the Mail tab
- Double click on the account
- Change the email address
- Verify that the following data is inserted:
- My incoming mail server is a POP3
- Incoming mail address: mail.bluevalley.net
- Outgoing mail address: mail.bluevalley.net
- Account name: test
- Click Apply
- Click OK
- Click Close
Customer can send a test message to themselves to see if the
account is working correctly.
NOTE: After the customer has sent the message have
them click send and receive to force Outlook Express to check for
the sent message. Otherwise, it may be many minutes before it checks
for new messages.
How to download SpywareBlaster:
SpywareBlaster helps block spyware from being installed on you
computer. Follow the instructions below to install this software.

Click here to install SpywareBlaster software.
- Click Save
- Save the file to a location that you can find it when it is
finished downloading, such as your desktop
- Double click on the installation file where you saved it
- Click Next
- Read agreement and select “I accept the agreement”
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Select “put a short cut……..” and click Next
- Click Install
- Select “Run SpywareBlaster”
- Click on Enable All Protection
- Click on Download Latest Protection Updates
- Click on Check for Updates
- Click on Enable Protection for All Unprotected Items
- Note that none of the items have any protection disabled items.
How to download Ad-Aware:
Adaware is a program that scans your computer for any spyware that
may have been installed on your computer. Below are instructions to
install this software.

Click here to install Adaware software.
- Click Save
- Save the file to a location that you can find it when it is
finished downloading, such as your desktop.
- Double click on the aawsepersonal.exe
- Click Next
- Read agreement and select “ I accept the license agreement"
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Ad-Aware will start scanning on its own
- A list of the spyware found will be displayed put a check in the
first box and Right click and click on “select all objects”
- Once all objects are selected click Next. Ad-Aware will remove
objects once it is done, just exit the program by clicking on the X
