Blue Valley Tele-communications is dedicated and committed to education and to rural America�€™s youth. BVTC offers numerous scholarships to area students through a five-element scholarship program. BLUE VALLEY TELE-COMMUNICATIONSSCHOLARSHIP (exchange)

BVTC provides 24 scholarships yearly, to students of active member families. Each of the 12 exchanges is represented with two scholarships winners.

BLUE VALLEY TELE-COMMUNICATIONS SCHOLARSHIP (service area)

In addition, one scholarship is be awarded to each of the following areas Blue Valley serves Internet/cable to:  Area #1: Marysville/Hanover/Bremen; Area #2: Blue Rapids/Waterville; Area #3: Frankfort/Washington

TELEPHONY SCHOLARSHIP

BVTC provides students of active member families who will be attending Kansas Technical School in Goodland or Beloit to study telephony-based courses a one-time scholarship. This is designed to attract personnel to the profession.

Qualifications for BVTC Scholarships:

  • Parent or legal guardian must be an active member of BVTC.
  • Student must live within the BVTC service area.
  • Children of Employees or Directors are not eligible for scholarships.
  • Minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average.

Applications can be downloaded from this website anytime between December 15 and March 15. Deadline for applications is March 15.

FOUNDATION FOR RURAL SERVICE (F.R.S.)SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation for Rural Services offers twenty-five $2,500 scholarships each year. FRS awards one scholarship per NTCA region in an effort to offer young people from rural areas a better chance at receiving a higher education. This application is available at http://www.frs.org/educ/scholarship or at the Blue Valley office in January.

P.R.I.M.O. SCHOLARSHIP

Students of active member families, majoring in public relations or marketing are encouraged to apply for this $500 scholarship. Applications may be found online at http://www.primomkt.com or at the Blue Valley office between the months of January and March. 

Primary emphasis of the scholarships will be placed upon leadership qualities and community involvement, with secondary emphasis placed upon financial need. All students are encouraged to apply.

Selection of scholarship recipients are made in April, with winners' names released by April 30 of each year.
